Almarhum Professor Emeritus Dato' Dr. Abdul Hamid Ahmad Abu Sulayman was an international renowned Islamic scholar, thinker, educationist and author of many books and articles on the subject of Islam and Islamic reform, especially in the fields of thought and education.
Almarhum was the Chairman of the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) and was the second Rector of IIUM between 1989 and 1999.
The passing of Almarhum is greatly missed and the thought and prayers are to the family & friends of Almarhum.
May his legacies and contributions be continued forward till the end of time.
